ABSTRACT

The aim of our study is to determine the conditions of the development of the network of economic information Tourism (RIET) in the District of Yamoussoukro. It is specifically set expectations tourism stakeholders, the type of information, the manner of collection, treatment and makes recommendations on the steps of the development of RIET. It aims to establish a platform for collaboration among the actors and to assess the importance of tourism to the regional economy. To achieve this, the methodology consisted of a literature search and a survey of tourism stakeholders. 127 tourism establishments and five public and parastatal administrative structures have been investigated. The analysis of the results identified significant variables that contribute to the effective implementation of RIET in the District of Yamoussoukro. These results show that the majority of tourism establishments are small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and do not know the meaning of a network of economic information of tourism and its benefits. However, to grow their businesses and enhance the local tourism offer, they expressed a strong desire to incorporate this collaboration platform. Thus, it appears necessary before any action to raise awareness of the objectives of such a tool, its advantages and limitations. The success of this business depends to a large extent their effective involvement. From an organizational point of view, it belongs to all those involved to define the terms of cooperation and network operation. To do this, the appointment of a technical committee is required. The implementing agency will be responsible for implementing the actions identified to install RIET.
