0.3. HYPOTHESIS
A hypothesis is a proposed explanation or
a merely statement without taking a position on its veracity, that is to say,
without affirming or denying it. So it is a mere guess, belonging to the realm
of the possibility or probability. Once formulated a hypothesis can be
studied.
- To assist the concerned Division to better manage the
staff data in the framework of our research, we will provide to the National
Institute for Vocational Preparation with a computerized information system.
- As a computer scientist, we must implement an information system that can
help manage the staff that will be supported by a DBMS (Access 2007 primarily
related to VB.net).
- This new information system will allow authorities of
INPP to have an overall idea about the exact number of registered personnel
within an entity.
O.4 CHOICE AND
INTERESTS OF TOPIC
The rationale for our choice on the topic is the concern that we wanted to
contribute to the improvement of the existing system within INPP.
In addition, this interest about
oneself is a twofold: Scientific and Professional.
- Scientific Interest: This work allows us to reconcile
the theory learned in the audience to professional practice, which helps us to
broaden our knowledge in this very complex area.
- Interest Professional: to the extent that this work
could help leaders of INPP reorganize their information systems by installing
mechanisms that can lead to perform adequate distribution of their information.
0.5. DELIMITATION OF THE WORK
Like any other scientific work, our work is limited in time and space.
- In the time, we have considered the period of November
2012 to May 2013. - In space: This study has been conducted in INPP Limete
6th Street, KINSHASA.
0.6. METHODS AND
TECHNIQUES
The methods and techniques are
rational and scientific progress of all research in the implementation of
applications to problems. They guide us in the collection, processing and
interpretation of relevant information to the study.
0.6.1. Methods
If method is the way to achieve a pursued goal, technology is a tool to achieve
this.
Method is defined as the set of followed
reasoning ways followed to achieve a goal.
In our case, the goal is to design a
computerized information system for INPP staff management achieving this, we
applied the following methods:
- The analytical method helped break down the events of
the existing system, to define, analyze and identify the specific problems the
new system will face.
- MERISE method it allowed to use a systematic approach
that considers the information system as a set form a whole that is to say, an
overview of the system or a study of computer implementation for business
system. It is a method of analysis aiming at designing and developing the
information system.
It leads to identify and describe all necessary information y
for the convenient functioning of the company, that information is used well by
hand or by machines.
