9. CONCLUSION

Notre étude constate un certain écart entre les pratiques thérapeutiques courantes au CHS et les recommandations de la littérature.

Du fait de la multiplicité de facteurs de prédisposition et d'aggravation de complications éventuelles tributaires du mésusage des BZD chez les patients alcooliques sortants d'un sevrage institutionnel, nous devons insister sur le dépistage systématique de ces facteurs de risque devant toute prescription de BZD.

Nous invitons les prescripteurs à éviter au maximum le recours aux BZD au décours d'un sevrage et de favoriser les autres attitudes thérapeutiques cognitives et comportementales (et autres approches thérapeutiques) et les anxiolytiques non BZD.

Dans le cas échéant, il faudra limiter la durée de traitement et de consigner un arrêt progressif du traitement.

Une prise en charge globale et multidisciplinaire des patients alcooliques en psychiatrie reste primordiale en particulier, le contact direct entre médecin psychiatre et médecin traitant.
