Abstract
We conducted a study on Maghnia's Bentonite-clay to see its
antibacterial effect onto the bacteria Escherichia coli. The first
step was to re-identify the strain by microbiological and biochemical tests,
these tests had given positive results, and the second part is about the clay:
sieving, sterilization and finally dilution to do the antibiogram.
The study of the synergistic effect of acids and bentonite
indicated the presence of signify antbactericidal effects. And also the results
demonstrate that the antimicrobial capacity of Cu2 +/montmorillonite
was very effective on Escherichia coli.
