CONCLUSION
Memoir Abstract
Internet is a tool without which men can not do in the field
of communication, for it interests are found in all activities sectors.
Internet exists since 1968 but it has been officially
introduced in Benin in 1995 during the organization of the 6th Heads of states
conference and french speaking countries governments. Since then, Internet has
been revealed as the keymaster of development. Press constitutes a great factor
regarding the role it plays in democracy rooting in Benin. Press is then opened
to a variety of opportunities. This very press must owe his dynamism to
Internet. That is why our topic in the framework of our dissertation in
archives sciences at the University of Abomey-Calavi is :
INTERNET APPROPRIATION IN BENIN PRESS
The use of Internet by a press organization
requires a performing hardware, an Internet service, different from others
services such as : the marketing, the schedule, editorial, publising and
the transport. These journalists must be well trained for the Internet remains
for press, a source of information. Among them we have websites, usenet, wais
and telnet sites.
Besides, the press organization must have at disposal their
own website, presenting them as presenters, showing a synthesis of national
news. On the website, there must be on one hand a heading of dialogues on line
among journalists, and among journalists and people on the other hand.
The Benin press organization that do not use Internet, have
talk about the inexistence of financial means, for most the time. All the
press organization that are connected on Internet, use the electronical mail
and the world wide web but very few of them use the others services. Almost all
this others peoples use Internet for information research. The main problem
that the press organization, that are connected, face, is the debit very low of
the connection and the inexistence of a performing hardware.
As regards the journalists training, thirty six press
organizations have participated in Internet training. The press organization
would like the Internet connection almost free charge, and also reward the best
production and publication of the "Ntic".
The use of Internet in Benin press is not so good, so as to
let people profit from it advantages. Things have been done. Nevertheless,
effort remain to do by the government and the presenters of Benin press. The
formers must help the press organization to get connected and to improve their
connection, and to have a performing hardware. They also must create a
multimedia centre for journalists. The presenters must count on themselves and
have their own Internet connection and website.
Benin press agency website must be active and the high
audiovisual and communication authority must also have it own website.
