CONCLUSION
Actuellement, la rétention pondérale en
post-partum est une dimension nouvelle dans la compréhension de la
morbidité liée à la grossesse, notamment avec la survenue
de l'obésité. Au regard de l'absence d'informations à ce
sujet dans notre milieu, notre étude s'est assignée comme
objectif de décrire la rétention pondérale à la
6ème semaine du post-partum chez la noire Congolaise de
Kinshasa. Après analyse des données collectées, la
présente étude a montré que:
- La majorité des femmes, soit 75,4%, ont une
rétention de poids à la fin de la période du
post-partum;
- le niveau de cette rétention est de 3,14 #177; 3,59 Kg
;
- Le gain pondéral gestationnel est le principal
facteur influençant la rétention de poids dans les 6
premières semaines après l'accouchement.
- Le niveau socioéconomique élevé,
à travers le changement de style de vie qu'il entraine, influence
également cette rétention de poids.
- L'incidence de l'obésité à la
6ème semaine du post-partum dans notre étude est de
8%.
RECOMMANDATIONS
Au terme de notre étude, les recommandations suivantes
peuvent être formulées: Ø aux bailleurs de
fonds:
§ de disponibiliser des moyens afin de permettre une
étude à large échelle dans le but d'évaluer
l'impact réel de la rétention pondérale en post-partum sur
le développement de l'obésité dans notre milieu.
Ø aux chercheurs:
§ de mener des études prospectives avec suivi des
femmes sur une plus longue période pour évaluer les
déterminants de la RPP chez la noire Congolaise et ainsi
déterminer les mesures à entreprendre pour la prévenir.
Ø aux médecins et prestataires de
santé:
§ de mettre un accent particulier sur la surveillance du
poids des femmes aussi bien pendant la grossesse (contrôler le GPG)
qu'après l'accouchement en allant au-delà de la
6ème semaine; d'apporter aux femmes les informations utiles
sur le comportement à adopter après l'accouchement pour
éviter une rétention importante de poids en post-partum pouvant
conduire à l'obésité.
