Figure 6 : collocations significatives de « provide
adjectif à connotation positive, tels que : useful, good, valuable,
better, strong, sufficient, excellent, etc.
make available for use; supply "25, et ses différentes
25 Oxford dictionary
connotation neutre, tels que : proxies, routes, an average
age, magma production rate, source parameters, etc
Neutres :
Subglacially-erupted volcanic sequences
provide proxies for a unique range of palaeo-ice parameters
The difference between the crustal extension to the
north and south of the volcanic and fault chain is considered to be
taken up along the 200km length of the chain by an echelon faulting and
fissuring, the latter providing routes for
magma to reach the surface
Such variation would, in part, explain the greater
uncertainty associated with these spreading rates compared to those
determined from the magnetic ages, which provide an average
age for the cooling of the entire magnetic source layer
This rough estimation of the magma production rate at
Soufriere of St. Vincent shows that the large cone of Soufriere volcano
built very fast providing an unusually high magma
production rate.
It is possible to extract information from seismic
characteristics that provides source parameters: fault
dimension, stress drop and seismic moment
Both sills and dykes can
provide magma to overlying volcanic fissures and
sills can be shown to feed shallow laccoliths
Positives:
Inversion of the corrected amplitudes was encouraging,
providing us with a very good match of the synthetics
to the data expressed in the variance reduction
A similar study protocol might be useful in the
reconstruction of eruptive activity of other cinder cones in the Garrotxa
region and elsewhere, and therefore can provide a good
and quick methodological tool
This provides the benefit of more
successful dual-band solutions for lava flows when used in
conjunction with ALI.
While the sill model provides an adequate
fit to the InSAR and GPS data (Fig. 3), the misfit gives at least two
valuable clues about the magma accumulation. No analysis combining both
data sets had yet been carried out, but combining them would clearly
provide the best model fitting crustal deformation
induced by the subsurface magma movements.
The purpose of this model is to provide a
better understanding of the stress conditions that favor sill
emplacement.
These models will provide improved
estimates of the distribution and abundance of chemical energy sources and
microorganisms during mixing, and will provide an improved
framework for understanding the distributions obtained from microbial
studies in the natural system.
Some of the very large geo codes were further split into
smaller units to provide better estimates of
source-to-site distances.
These beds provide convincing evidence
that an intracaldera lake or abundant shallow groundwater once existed in the
western caldera and interacted with magma during an eruption
This volcanic system provides an excellent
target because it has erupted nearly homogeneous basaltic andesite magma
ci-dessus : very good match, a good and quick
methodological tool, more successful dual-band, adequate fit,
best model, better understanding, improved estimates,
improved framework, better estimates, convincing evidence,
excellent target, etc.
