ABSTRACT
Governments and businesses are feeling more and more the need
to set up a well-structured and asset management to secure to allow the network
administrator to have a comprehensive visibility across the network, take
inventory of all existing resources (computers, software, etc.) in order to
maintain the day to park, to avoid inconvenience. In addition, the amount of
hardware and software to manage within the company often extensive in space,
the requirements of performance and responsiveness make IT asset management has
become a comprehensive, complete and essential. This solution also allows to
provide assistance to users through the Helpdesk. During our training at the
Regional Delegation of Public Service and Administrative Reform of the Far
North, he was asked to set up an administration system and securing an IT
park.
This IT asset management system will be based on a coupled
server-GLPI OCS Inventory NG and Windows Server 2008. Windows Server 2008 will
allow us to set up a domain controller for authenticating users in the area and
accounts / password for the Active directory users will import to GLPI using
the LDAP GLPI function and users can submit tickets (requests) of incidents
that occur on their desktops using the same account / password that will give
them access to GLPI interface. Using the Remote Desktop Connection assistant
RDP and VNC, let us authenticate on workstations as well as Windows Linux to
provide an immediate solution. The implementation of the management and
administration of this park is secure because it can be subject to external
attacks
