I.7.7. Battage et vannage

Le battage consiste à séparer les gousses de la fane, le plus souvent, l'égoussage est manuel ou réalisé à l'aide des bâtons ou fléaux qui réduisent les tas d'arachide en un mélange de fane hachées et de gousses partiellement brisés qui sera ensuite vanné pour séparer les deux produits. Plusieurs types des batteuses mécaniques peuvent être utilisés (GILLIER, 1969).
